Eddie Blue & the Ravens
Eddie 'Blue' Lester is a veteran of the music scene in the US. We are talking the the real deal from the southern states of the US. Touring with his signature saxophone led funky blues chops, with top line US musicians, he amazes and entertains.
At an early age it wasn’t long before Eddie Blue was on the road in and around the south on the famous Chittlins circuit playing with up and coming stars such as Billy Cox, bass player who later was in the band formed by Jimi Hendrix, the Band of Gypsies. He has shared the stage with many national acts, such as James Armstrong, Tab Benoit, Big Jack Johnson, Magic Slim, Carl Weathersby and many more.
Eddie Blue and the Ravens are on a hectic European Tour in March and April 2008 and we are very lucky to have them playing at DUSTY'S on Thursday March, 27th. Tickets are £5.50 on the door (£4.50 for HGSA members) or 50p off if bought in advance from Ronnie Ryan (01494 712 972).
